Getting started

Connect a Shopify store

Install ValidRev from its Shopify-owned listing, approve the requested read-only permissions, and sign in to ValidRev. The store is linked to your account and its first import starts automatically.

Understand the first import

ValidRev aggregates eligible Shopify orders into monthly store-level metrics. Large histories use a background bulk operation and can take several minutes to appear.

Refresh verified analytics

Relevant Shopify events and scheduled reconciliation keep connected data current. Use Sync now from the store dashboard when you need to request a fresh reconciliation.

Manage public-profile privacy

An eligible connected store receives a public aggregate profile. Anonymous mode hides its name, logo, description, and identifying URL while keeping aggregate analytics public.

Common questions

Why does my history show fewer than twelve months?

Shopify normally makes only the latest 60 days of orders available to an app. Twelve-month reporting requires Shopify to approve and the merchant to grant read_all_orders. ValidRev shows the period actually available and never fills unavailable months with invented values.

Why is my store still syncing?

The initial import runs as a Shopify bulk operation. Its duration depends on order volume and Shopify processing time. Leave the connection active and refresh the Stores page after several minutes. If the status changes to Attention, follow the displayed reconnect or retry action.

Why am I being asked to reconnect?

Reconnect is required when Shopify credentials expire, permissions change, or the app receives a scope it can no longer use. Reconnecting starts Shopify's authorization flow again and does not ask you to type your store domain into ValidRev.

Does ValidRev publish customer or order details?

No. Individual order fields and customer IDs are processed only while calculating store-level monthly aggregates. Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, customer IDs, and individual order records are not published.

What happens when I disconnect or uninstall?

Disconnecting immediately disables synchronization, destroys ValidRev's stored Shopify credentials, and removes the store from public display. Shopify's later shop-redaction request removes the remaining Shopify-derived identity and analytics data covered by that request.

How do I request access to or deletion of my data?

Email hello@validrev.com from the address associated with your account. Include enough information for us to verify the request, but never send passwords, access tokens, API keys, or one-time login codes.
